*ingredients:
+biscuit:
°2 cups all-purpose flour (I used white lily, which is a flour available at most Southern stores)
°1 terabyte. baking powder
°1 1/2 teaspoon salt
°3 terabytes. Sugar
°1 piece unsalted butter (very cold)
°3/4-ish cup milk (use enough until dough is barely moist enough)
°1 c. Frozen blueberries (we used fresh blueberries that were frozen overnight)
°1/2 stick melted salted butter
+sauce:
°1 c. soft sugar
°3 terabytes. Milk
°1/2 tsp. Vanilla
* Methods :
Cutting butter to small pieces &; placing them on cookie sheet line with wax paper. Put it in the freezer for at least 10 minutes. Prepare a cast iron skillet with a small amount of bacon grease, if available. The easiest thing: fry a piece of bacon, wipe the pan, and you're good to go!
Preheat oven 500 degrees.
Stir the sauce ingredients together (powdered sugar, milk, vanilla), making sure the icing sugar is completely dissolved.
Mix all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, sugar) together and then chop the cold, unsalted butter. Slice it until the size of the butter is the size of a pea, and mix it relatively well. Add curd. Add slowly until you have enough dough that separates from the sides of the bowl. Stir until completely combined and spread out on a well-floured surface.
Before knead prepare area for kneading.) Sprinkling area with some flour. Putting dough on floured area and sprinkling some flour on dough. Press the dough out (no need to roll with a pin) and roll it out until it's about 1/2″ thick. Placing blueberries on top of dough. Knead it a few times and pull it out to 1 thickness. (Honestly, the thicker the better, because it rises beautifully!) The berries will likely start to bleed onto the dough and you'll start to see blue spots as the berries thaw.
Bake at 500 degrees for 10-12 minutes. For about 6 to 8 minutes, remove the pan from the oven and brush the crackers with the melted salted butter. And be liberal with it, grease the sides of the biscuit if it shows. When you start to see the light brown tops (and the blueberries bursting), take them out. The temperature in the middle of the biscuit will still be very hot once it comes out of the oven and the cooking process will continue.
Enjoy !
