Soul food macaroni and cheese recipe


 


Ingredients:


4 cups macaroni, uncooked


8 tablespoons butter, softened


2 eggs


1 tsp onion powder


1 tsp salt


1 tsp pepper


3 cups milk


2 cups mozzarella


4 cups cheddar


Directions


Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9×13 pan.


Cook macaroni, in salted water for 1-2 minutes less than the instructions, or al dente. Be careful not to overcook. Vacuum up.


Place macaroni, butter, seasonings, milk, mozzarella and 3 cups of cheddar cheese in dish and stir.


Mix eggs in a bowl and stir in mixture.


Cover with greased foil and bake for 45 minutes.


Uncover and stir, then add the last cup of cheddar cheese. Bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
