OldFashioned-Banana-Cream-Pie

This old-fashioned banana cream pie is made with simple and practical ingredients made especially at home.

This Banana Cream Pie recipe will have me and I love it! What I mean is that it doesn't matter if it's an old recipe from my grandmother, she hasn't lost her style yet. To prepare this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:

* Ingredients :

° 1 (9-inch) pie crust, baked

° 3 cups full fat milk

° 3⁄4 cup white sugar

° 1⁄3 cup all-purpose flour

° 1⁄4 teaspoon salt

° 3 egg yolks, lightly beaten

° 2 tablespoons butter

° 1 teaspoon vanilla

° 3 bananas

* Directions :

  Have 9-inch pie crust.

In saucepan, scald milk.

In other saucepan, blend sugar, flour // salt. Gradually stir in pasteurized milk.

On heat, stir constantly, cook to firm.

Cover and, stirring occasionally, cook for 2 minutes longer.

In a small bowl we bring 3 egg yolks, lightly beaten and ready; Stir a small amount of the hot mixture with the whipped yolks; When well mixed, stir the yolks into the hot mixture.

Cook about a min, stir constantly.

Remove from heat and combine butter and vanilla.

Leave it to cool down.

When you're ready to pour, cut the banana into slices and spread them into a pie crust; Pour the warm mixture over the bananas.

If desired, make meringue (you will have 3 egg whites left) on top of the pie, or let the pie cool until serving.

Enjoy !
